These terms cover your use of this website. They do not cover masonry work we do for you — that is governed by the written scope and contract you sign for the job.

What this site is

An information site and a way to request an estimate. Nothing here is an offer, a contract, or a commitment to take on work.

Prices and estimates

Any cost range published here — on the cost page, a service page or a guide — is a general guide, not a quote. Masonry pricing depends on what is actually happening at the wall: access, height, how much has to come apart, materials to match, permits. The only number that binds either of us is the written, line-item scope we give you after the on-site visit.

A quote request is not a booking. Work starts when we have agreed a written scope.

Guides and technical content

Our guides describe how masonry generally behaves in Chicago building stock. They are written to help you understand your building, not to replace a site visit. They are not engineering advice and they are not a structural assessment of your property. If your building has a structural concern, have it looked at in person — by us or by a licensed structural engineer.

Permit and ordinance descriptions were accurate when written. City requirements change; we confirm what applies to your parcel before work starts.

Photographs and projects

Project photographs show our own completed work unless a caption says an image is illustrative. Before-and-after images are not a promise that your wall will look the same — every building starts from a different condition.

Content ownership

The text, photographs, diagrams and layout on this site belong to us. You are welcome to link to any page. Please do not republish substantial parts of the content as your own. Trade names and logos belong to their owners.

Links to other sites

We link to Google, Yelp and other third parties. We do not control them and are not responsible for what they publish.

Availability

We try to keep the site accurate and online, but we do not guarantee it is free of errors or always available. We may change or remove content at any time.

Limits

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from relying on general information published here. Our responsibility for work we perform is set out in the contract for that work, and nothing on this page limits anything the law does not let us limit.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version.
