Historic front steps — rebuilt in matching limestone.

312 Masonry replaced a full set of broken historic front steps with new decorative limestone, matching the original design and dimensions so the entry keeps its historic character.

New limestone historic front steps being set with a boom lift, Chicago
The project

Project description.

The building's historic front steps had broken beyond repair. 312 Masonry replaced them entirely with new decorative limestone, rigged and set with a boom lift given the size and weight of the new stone.

Every new piece was cut and finished to match the original design and dimensions, so the rebuilt entry reads as original to the building rather than an obvious repair.
